In the midst of all this sadness, i came across a few gentlemen playing music. In minutes the crowds gathered, a lady started humming a tune and instantaneously everyone started moving to the beat. Everyone joined in, clapped, hummed and danced along. the moment lasted for a minutes. it was so magical, brought on the highest smile to so many. I loved it, felt so grateful to be here to share in this experience.
The unity continues into Day 2. Just now more people have joined in. Kids and elders have all come out. Everyones singing, raising their flags and signs , stamping about in perfect rhythm. Others are still lighting candles, holding hands, writing messages, being interviewed, praying and taking pictures. That set the scene for day 2. Creating a presence, sending a message to the world. If a million people could put there their thoughts down, I think this is exactly what it would it look like. A beautiful canvas of expression in different colours, shades, thickness, fonts, shapes and sizes. On the evening of the 22 March 2016 I saw and captured pictures and messages in chalk on the ground in front of the stock exchange at the Place de la Bourse in Brussels. It was the most magnificent sight when i saw it all over the building as well on the next afternoon. I was so overwhelmed by this sight, i just continued to click away. Young and old, everyone took the opportunity to put down their thoughts and feeling. Personally i just love these pics, I think they'll forever be my favourite, it took hundreds of people to collectively express themselves on the wall , to bring forth this opportunity to take these pics. Wow I am really blessed. Date : 23 March 2016
Flying out of Belgium is nearly impossible, today I need to find myself in Amsterdam by this afternoon to catch my flight out of Europe. Yesterday i had to head find my way to the busy Centraal Train station. to by my ticket for travel today. It's strange when you're in a country and not everyone you talk to, will understand the english that you speak. I found it made me quiet. I'd observe rather and look for what I need before asking for help. Scenes from outside the station...
A heartbreaking and sad moment for myself and so many, The people of Brussels come together at the City Centre in front of Bourse du Bruxelles (Beurs van Brussel) to show love and unity. The city centre is filled with candles, notes of love and positivity, flowers, messages with chalk, flags from everywhere, music, prayer, hugs and tears.
i love that instead of hiding out, everyone here came together to stand as one, to deliver a positive message of peace and harmony. The moments i experience this evening left me with goose bumps, so touching. I pray that all will settle soon. A festival of love, faith, dedication, determination, sacrifce, cleansing, prayer and prosperity. The colours, people and rituals amazed me. I grew up hearing about Kavady... but never attended this awesome festival. Yesterday was my day... the energy and excitement was so exhilarating. I will be back next year, earlier and longer to gain the fullest experience. Enjoy the moments captured.

That a little being can grow within another. What a pure blessing it is to have this amazing experience as a woman. To know and see your body change to accommodate your closest companion... You whispered to him from day one of knowing...you smiled every time you touched your tummy... Now in a matter of days... you get to put a face to the love you feel... I'm excited for your moment. Tears of joy fill my heart. Blessed sister and brother... we too are waiting in pure anticipation for our angel to arrive... #love #joy #happiness #newbeginnings #baby #pregnancy #maternity #maternityphotography I’ve always wanted to do street photography, being at Sakumzi offered me as a photographer, so many amazing opportunities. It was viby, busy, warm, fun, relaxed and just a total photographic paradise. The street entertainment, oh my word, was such an exhilarating site, I must say we possess such talent in this beautiful country. I loved the creativity, passion and rhythm.
It was my first visit to Soweto and I just loved it. The brilliance of the event left me so exhilarated. I loved that the evening was themed, The theme was "Spirits Awakening" and everything was designed around the theme. The costumes, makeup, music, lighting and decor worked together like pure perfection, I loved every moment and I believe my pictures reflect the amazement of the evening.
